Job Description

GlobeMed Group, the largest Healthcare Benefits Management company in the MENA region is looking for a Medical Coding Officer to perform the coding tasks needed for the development, maintenance and updates of different coding lists to ensure the coding compliance. Also provides medical coding technical support in different projects related to the managed healthcare with the guidance and the supervision of the coding director.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Learns and applies different coding systems through internal training and guided learning.
Supports the Medical Coding Director in updating coding lists and transitioning to new coding systems.
Coordinates with functional managers to verify correct implementation and report any issues.
Assists in mapping healthcare provider price lists and coding systems to support claims automation.
Updates and maintains codes in the system as needed, based on instructions from the director and operations.
Helps prepare coding dictionaries, presentation materials, and e-learning content.
Follows up on assigned coding and mapping tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Supports documentation and research activities related to coding projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Nursing
Minimum 3 years of experience in the health care field
Willing to learn and expand in the medical coding
Organized and meticulous about details
Ability to transfer knowledge
Fluent in English
Good verbal and written communication skills
Work Under Stress and maintain a professional attitude
Computer literate with good MS Office skills
