Duties & Responsibilities

Provide pharmaceutical care and service to patients/customers of the Prescription Care Centre retail pharmacy.
Provide drug information, patient medication counselling, advice and support regarding health aids.
Provide supervision and guidance to pharmacy technicians dispensing prescriptions and supporting all aspects of the operation of the Prescription Care Centre (including monthly Saturday shifts).
Liaise with various health care providers, external agencies and other staff as required for patient care ( e.g. regarding third party funding programs, special prescriptions, drug procurement, and other relevant issues).

Qualifications

Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
Minimum of 1 year experience in a retail pharmacy, preferably with the ProPharm Nexxsys computer system.
Preference for completion of a pharmacy residency in hospital, ambulatory, community practice.
Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills; and demonstrated ability to function in a team environment.
Demonstrated customer service skills.

Demonstrated excellent attendance and reliability.
