Job Title: Staff Nurse (B.Sc / GNM)
Industry & Sector: Healthcare — Hospital & Clinical Services (Inpatient, Outpatient and Community Care). This is an on-site nursing role based in Mahasamund, Chhattisgarh focused on delivering high-quality bedside care, clinical monitoring, and multidisciplinary coordination in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered direct nursing care for medical-surgical and general ward patients across assigned shifts.
- Administer medications, IV therapies and injections accurately; prepare and maintain infusion/medication records.
- Perform wound assessment and dressing changes; monitor sites for infection and escalate concerns promptly.
- Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and clinical observations; communicate changes to physicians and care teams.
- Lead effective shift handovers, maintain accurate patient charts (EMR/paper), and support discharge planning and patient education.
- Respond to emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts; adhere to infection control, safety and hospital protocols at all times.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- B.Sc. Nursing or GNM qualification from a recognized institution.
- Current registration with the State Nursing Council (valid RN/RM registration).
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proven clinical competencies: IV cannulation, medication administration, wound care and infection control.
- Experience in hospital settings (inpatient wards/OPD/medical-surgical units) with reliable documentation skills (EMR or paper charts).
- Ability to work on-site in Mahasamund with flexible shift availability (rotational shifts including nights and weekends).
Preferred
- Experience in ICU/CCU or Emergency Department.
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS or critical care nursing training.
- Familiarity with hospital quality & patient-safety programs (audit, infection surveillance).
