Practice Nurse – Career Development & ANP Training Opportunity
Carraig Clinic, established over 50 years ago, has recently relocated as an anchor tenant to a new state-of-the-art Primary Care Centre (E32 DK66).
We are a progressive 5 Doctor GP Training Practice, supported by two Practice Nurses and a dedicated administrative team. We are now seeking to recruit a friendly, professional and caring Practice Nurse to join our nursing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated nurse who is interested not only in practice nursing, but also in developing their career further, with potential support towards Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) training and ongoing professional development.
Job Details
- Permanent position (36-40 Hours p/w)
- Commuting distance to Kilkenny, Waterford & Clonmel

- Fully computerised practice using Socrates
Candidate Requirements
- GP Practice Nurse experience is an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Self-motivated, shows initiative
- Team player committed to quality patient care
- Enthusiastic about professional development and progression
Key Duties include: Immunisations, Phlebotomy, Cervical smears, Chronic Disease Management Programmes, Skin and wound care, Clinical stock management and maintenance of equipment/supplies
