Role description: Business Development Manager
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to own revenue and adoption of Tap Health across doctor led channels. This role is responsible for selling Tap Health’s care continuum proposition to doctors clinics and healthcare providers and driving sustained usage across their patient base.
You will build and manage doctor relationships end to end, from prospecting and onboarding to activation retention and expansion. A core focus of this role is driving trust adoption and repeat usage among doctors without disrupting how they practice medicine.
This is a field heavy execution role requiring strong doctor facing experience commercial ownership and comfort operating in early stage ambiguity.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to acquire activate and grow doctor partners and drive B2B revenue.
You will own the following workstreams:
Doctor Acquisition and Partnerships
• Identify and onboard diabetologists physicians clinics and hospitals across priority markets.
• Pitch Tap Health’s care continuum proposition clearly positioning it as care between visits not a replacement for doctors.
• Close commercial agreements including subscriptions revenue share or per patient pricing models.
• Build a predictable doctor acquisition pipeline with clear funnel metrics.
Doctor Onboarding and Activation
• Ensure smooth onboarding of doctors onto the Tap Health platform including branding workflows and setup.
• Train doctors and clinic staff on product usage patient flows and value delivered.
• Drive first patient activation and early success metrics for each onboarded doctor.
Revenue and Account Growth
• Own doctor channel revenue targets including new sales renewals and expansions.
• Increase revenue per doctor by driving higher patient activation retention and plan upgrades.
• Identify upsell opportunities across additional care programs features or conditions as the platform expands.
Relationship Management and Retention
• Act as the primary point of contact for doctor partners.
• Build long term trust based relationships with key opinion leaders and high value clinics.
• Proactively address objections concerns and feedback related to clinical safety data privacy and outcomes.
• Reduce churn by ensuring doctors see consistent patient engagement and value.
Market and Product Feedback Loop
• Bring structured feedback from doctors into product and leadership teams.
• Identify recurring objections feature gaps and market needs to inform roadmap and positioning.
• Support pilots partnerships and strategic initiatives with hospital groups diagnostics or pharma partners.
Cross Functional Execution
• Work closely with product clinical and growth teams to improve doctor facing flows and materials.
• Coordinate with marketing on doctor specific collateral events and conferences.
• Maintain clean CRM hygiene and reporting on pipeline performance and forecasts.
Who You need to be
• 4–8 years of experience in B2B / sales business development or partnerships selling to doctors clinics or hospitals across
• Prior experience in healthcare pharma medical devices diagnostics or digital health is essential.
• Proven ability to build trust and close with doctors through consultative selling.
• Strong understanding of how clinics and hospitals operate including patient flows incentives and constraints.
• Strong proven ability to sell virtually / over a video call
• Comfortable with field sales travel and relationship driven revenue models.
• Clear communication disciplined follow up and strong commercial instincts.
• Ability to operate independently while collaborating closely with internal teams.
