Job Summary:
The Laboratory Technician (Pharmacy) will support pharmaceutical laboratory operations by assisting in testing, analysis, documentation, and maintenance of laboratory standards. The role requires adherence to regulatory guidelines, accurate record-keeping, and compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine pharmaceutical laboratory tests and analyses as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in sample preparation, chemical analysis, and quality testing of pharmaceutical products.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and ensure proper calibration.
- Record, analyze, and document test results accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
- Support senior pharmacists and analysts in research and quality control activities.
- Handle chemicals, reagents, and samples following safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical laboratory practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of quality control, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
Educational Qualification
- B. Pharm or D. Pharm in the relevant branch with First Class or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Professional Certifications
- Mandatory registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 01 years of experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory or in a similar relevant role.
