JOB DESCRIPTION
Supports the provision of safe, effective, evidence-based and comprehensive physiotherapy services, under the supervision of a Registered Physiotherapist
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with elements of assessment as directed by registered physiotherapists e.g.
measurements for equipment provision
- Provides physiotherapy treatment programs under direction from the registered physiotherapists using evidence-based protocols/guidelines
- Monitors patients’ progress and adapts treatment programs as agreed with registered physiotherapists and ensures they are updated accordingly
- Provides patient education and maintenance of equipment as necessary within manufacturers guidelines
- Communicates effectively with patients and registered physiotherapists to progress rehabilitation and treatment programs
- Maintains documentation of any relevant clinical information
- Assists with administrative/operational as directed by supervisor/senior physiotherapist for departmental efficiency
- Ensures awareness and alignment with vision, mission, values, national licensing, organizational & departmental policies, clinical guidelines, mandatory competencies (e.g. Basic Life Support, Infection Control, Fire Safety, etc.) and SSMC compliance guidelines (as below)Maintaining and assisting in the enforcement of up-to-date clinical and professional knowledge development, according to organizational/unit/s requirements (e.g. minimum of CPD / CME hours per year required for re-licensing)

Experience :-
Required:
- NLT 2 years postgraduate experience as a physiotherapy technician in relevant experience with patients with same diagnosis seen in acute care hospital or Rehab Facilities.
