Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Palliative Care to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing holistic patient-centered care to individuals facing serious illnesses. Duties
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in palliative settings, focusing on pain management and symptom relief.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding illness management and end-of-life care options.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Valid Nursing license (RN/RPN) with relevant clinical experience.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with pain management techniques.
- Experience in hospice settings, acute care settings, hospital environments, or home care is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with patients experiencing end-of-life journey.
- Previous experience in case management or medical office environments is advantageous.
