Purpose of the Role :
To assist the Person in Charge and Assistant Director of Nursing with ensuring St Joseph's Home provided the highest standards of person centred care to residents in accordance with legislation, national standards and regulations and professional codes and guidance.
To monitor and supervise care for residents on each unit . To provide leadership, mentoring and supervision to the nursing and care staff.
Skills , Competencies & Knowledge:
- Demonstrate knowledge of HIQA Standards and national regulations of residential care services for older people.
- Demonstrate knowledge of legislation,professional codes and standards related to practice and to caring for older people.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to leadership and management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Be registered with the Nursing and Midwidery Board of Ireland.
- At least 2 years management experience or equivalent in a similar environment.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development in the last two years
