Location: The Oxford Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Haverhill. A 120-bed skilled nursing facility.
$42 to $45 an hour with weekly pay. Full-time and part-time openings.
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload while participating in the clinical team process. You will also provide teaching and training to caregiver staff and supervise other therapists, assistants, aides, and students as required.
Responsibilities:
- Screens and evaluates residents to develop care plans
- Performs additional assigned administrative duties, such as assigning and overseeing resident care activities, medical record oversight, assuring execution of physician orders, ordering supplies, etc.
- Provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care, under a physician's order
- Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program
- Consults with and trains residents and caregivers
- Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor
- Documents activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basis
- Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
- Communicates effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers, and supervisor
- Provides appropriate consultation to the facility
- Participates in clinical program development and implementation
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Active and unencumbered OT license in Massachusetts, or be in the process of obtaining one
