Overview
IRS is currently recruiting a highly energetic and motivated RN/LPN/RRT for our Fort St. John, BC location. Educating and providing quality healthcare services to our clients by initiating Oxygen therapy, performing assessments, educating clients in the use and knowledge of equipment, and conducting follow-up service.
- Conducts a full respiratory assessment while performing diagnostics as applicable
- Assess and evaluate test results, delivering supplies/equipment as required.
- Develop treatment plans with the client, physicians, and care teams, while obtaining informed client consent.
- Provides follow-up to clients to evaluate the effects of the treatment plan, comforts clients when using treatment, addresses compliance.
- Identifies the client’s home environment for safety concerns and performs equipment quality control checks
- Provides information/literature to prospective clients, as well as demonstrations of products and services.
- Keeps updated on related education and best clinical practices
- Responsible for complying and maintaining knowledge of all funding processes and systems.
- Ensures quality documentation by completing all company documentation and forms while maintaining client confidentiality.
- Initiates PAP therapy, provides patient education, and conducts other sleep related duties.
- Adheres to safety and infection control policies and protocols.
- Instructs, supervises, and evaluates new staff and students when required.
Here is what you will need
- Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Strong cardio-respiratory assessment skills
- Valid driver’s license + Clear vulnerable persons check
- Previous experience in healthcare field an asset
- Ability to participate in a rotational after-hours on call schedule
- Working knowledge of Microsoft, Google applications and Android

Pay: From $60,000.00 per hour
