We are looking for an experienced and passionate Allied Massage Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in a wide range of therapeutic techniques and motivated to help patients recover, perform, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality sports massage therapy to patients, focusing on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement.
- Utilize various massage techniques, including:
- Deep tissue massage
- Trigger point therapy
- Myofascial release
- Lymphatic drainage massage
- Pre-event and post-event sports massage
- Relaxation and recovery-focused treatments
- Assess patients’ muscle and soft tissue conditions, identify problem areas, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate closely with physiotherapists, podiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Educate patients on self-care, stretching, and exercise techniques to support their ongoing recovery and performance goals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is compliant with clinic policies and confidentiality standards.
- Stay updated on emerging techniques, research, and best practices in sports and therapeutic massage through continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Massage Therapist.
- Valid DHA License (Allied Health).
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and sports-related injuries.
- Expertise in multiple massage modalities (deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial, and lymphatic).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
