Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Hijama Cupping Therapist role based in Al Ain. The Hijama Cupping Therapist will perform wet and dry cupping sessions in line with established safety protocols, clinical guidelines, and local regulations. Daily tasks include assessing client needs, taking brief medical histories, explaining procedures, obtaining informed consent, and preparing treatment rooms and equipment. The therapist will maintain strict hygiene and infection control standards, document treatments accurately, and monitor clients for any adverse reactions. Additional responsibilities include educating clients on aftercare, collaborating with other practitioners (e.g., acupuncture, massage, herbal therapy specialists), and participating in ongoing training to maintain and enhance professional skills.
Qualifications
- Certified training in Hijama/cupping therapy from a recognized institution, with knowledge of wet and dry cupping techniques and safety protocols.
- Understanding of basic human anatomy, physiology, and contraindications related to cupping and complementary therapies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain procedures clearly, obtain informed consent, and build trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated commitment to hygiene, infection control, accurate recordkeeping, and compliance with clinic policies and local health regulations.
- Ability to work full time on site in Al Ain, with reliability, punctuality, and a professional, respectful attitude toward colleagues and clients.
- Prior experience in a clinic, wellness center, or alternative medicine setting is preferred; additional skills in massage, acupuncture assistance, or herbal therapy are an advantage.
