Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide consultant-level orthopedic surgical services specializing in hip and knee conditions.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of orthopedic disorders affecting the hip and knee joints.
- Perform primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgeries.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing both surgical and non-surgical approaches.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up care.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical governance activities.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and trainees as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and international best practices.
- Contribute to departmental development, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
- Participate in on-call duties as required by the department.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
- Completion of a recognized Residency Program in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Fellowship, Board Certification, or equivalent Consultant-level qualification in Orthopedic Surgery recognized by UAE healthcare authorities.
- Subspecialty training and extensive experience in Hip and Knee Surgery.
- Proven experience in primary and revision joint replacement procedures.
- Eligibility for licensure in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- Strong clinical, surgical, leadership, and communication skills.
