Job Overview
We are looking for a warm, experienced GP with an interest in women’s health to join our friendly and supportive clinic team on a fixed-term basis.
This role combines women’s health consultations on menopause with general GP appointments, so you will need to feel confident seeing a broad range of patients and managing varied clinical presentations independently.
Days: Thursday & Friday (ideally both, but open to one depending on availability)
Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm (appointments from 9:15am – 4:30pm, with a 1-hour lunch break)
Fixed-term: Fixed-term position until 30th October 2026. Whilst this is an initial fixed-term role, we are open minded about a longer-term position for the right candidate.
About the role
You will provide a mix of general medical care and women’s health support, with the time and clinical freedom to fully assess, investigate, and manage your patients.
Alongside clinical work, we encourage our doctors to contribute to patient education through social media and written content:
- We provide content ideas and structure in advance
- You will be paid a fee for filming time (30 minutes c. once a month)
- If you prefer not to be on camera, there is the option to write blog content instead (also paid)
- While optional, being visible helps patients feel more connected to their doctor and is encouraged where possible
Women’s health focus
You will support patients with:
- HRT prescribing
- Menopause and perimenopause
- PCOS
- Possible infertility
- Heavy periods
- Contraception (coil and implant removal desirable but not essential)
- Mood, anxiety, and overall wellbeing
- Preventative health and ageing well
What we’re looking for
- GMC registered
- Medical indemnity in place
- At least 7 years’ experience as a GP (less may be considered with a strong general medical background prior to GP training)
- A strong foundation in general medicine
- Confidence to work independently
- A friendly, caring, and approachable manner
- An interest in a holistic approach to healthcare
- A genuine desire to be part of a small, collaborative team
Additional requirements
- Employment will be subject to two satisfactory recent clinical references
What we offer
- Fixed daily rate for the fixed-term period (can be flexible for the right candidate)
- If the role extends beyond 6-months, we would transition to a contractor arrangement which would be a percentage of your appointment fees
- If the role extends beyond 6-months, additional fees for reported blood tests (pay details discussed at interview)
- We pay your indemnity for your sessions with us
- Two-hour paid induction with Dr Graham
- Budget for relevant training if role extends beyond 6-months
- Doctors’ meeting every two months
- A supportive, close-knit team environment
General GP Work
General medical experience is essential, as you will be seeing a variety of patients for standard GP appointments. You will have the time to properly assess, examine, investigate, and diagnose, making this an ideal role for a GP who values thorough, patient-centred care.
If this sounds like a good fit and you’d like to work in a friendly, supportive clinic where you can make a real difference, we would love to hear from you.
