Role Description The Resident Doctor role at JSM Hospital is a full-time, on-site position based in Sarangarh. The Resident Doctor will manage inpatient and outpatient care, perform daily ward rounds, and monitor patients before and after procedures. Responsibilities include assisting in laparoscopic surgeries and related procedures, supporting gynecology and obstetric services, and participating in emergency care as required. The role also involves documenting clinical findings, updating patient records, coordinating with consultants and nursing staff, and ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards. The Resident Doctor is expected to participate in clinical discussions, continuous learning activities, and quality improvement initiatives within the hospital.
Qualifications
- Recognized MBBS degree from an accredited institution and valid registration with the relevant medical council.
- Postgraduate training or exposure in surgery, gynecology, or obstetrics is preferred.
- Experience or strong interest in laparoscopic surgery, hysteroscopy, and women’s health services.
- Ability to manage inpatient and outpatient care, including pre- and post-operative patient management.
- Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and familiarity with standard treatment protocols.
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work in shifts, handle emergencies, and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
