Night Shift Lab Technician – Hospital

Position: Lab Technician (Night Shift)

Department: Laboratory / Pathology

Reporting To: Lab Incharge / Senior Lab Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and emergency laboratory tests during night shift
Handle and process samples accurately and timely (blood, urine, body fluids)
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and documentation of all samples
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment as per SOPs
Immediately report any critical/abnormal results to the concerned doctor or department
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the lab
Ensure proper handover of pending work to the morning shift staff
Maintain records, registers, and reports accurately
Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments for sample collection and reporting
Follow infection control and biomedical waste disposal protocols
