Aster Pharmacy is seeking a qualified and customer-focused pharmacist to join our team. The role involves dispensing medications, providing expert advice on health and wellness, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Dispensing medications: Accurately dispense prescriptions as per doctor's instructions while ensuring proper dosage and administration.
- Patient counseling: Provide guidance on medication usage, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications to improve health outcomes.
- Customer service: Address customer queries, recommend over-the-counter (OTC) products, and promote health and wellness.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensure adherence to local pharmacy regulations and company policies.
- Inventory management: Monitor stock levels, check for expired products, and assist in procurement.
- Health and safety: Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, following all safety and hygiene protocols.
- Insurance and billing: Process prescriptions through insurance claims and handle billing efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D).
- Valid pharmacy license.
- 1-3 years of experience in a community pharmacy setting (fresh graduates may also apply).
- Strong knowledge of medications, OTC products, and health supplements.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities
- Compound and dispense medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Instruct customers on how and when to take prescribed medications, advising interventions, and informing customers of any potential side effects.
- Process customer insurance prescriptions, get approval, and dispense medication accordingly with clear usage instructions.
- Keep accurate customer records and ensure a safe and clean working environment.
- Answer all incoming telephone calls as per company telephone etiquette.
- Complete operational requirements of the pharmacy, including verifying order entries, maintaining records of controlled substances and charges, and removing expired or damaged drugs from inventory.
- Adhere to applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures governing pharmaceutical practice.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in pharmacy or pharmacology.
- Certification or license in relevant health authorities.
- Experience certificate from previous pharmacy, if applicable.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy software applications.
