Emerald Locums are currently recruiting a Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist for a highly specialised maternity leave cover role based in Cork. This is a part-time opportunity within a specialist paediatric service supporting children with complex physical and postural needs.
This is not a standard paediatric post. The successful candidate will join a service focused on complex disability presentations, working within a multidisciplinary environment and delivering specialist assessment and intervention, particularly in the areas of sleep systems, mobility equipment, and postural management. The contract is offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months.

Duties
- Assessment and management of children with complex physical disabilities
- Prescription of sleep systems and postural management equipment
- Prescription of walkers and mobility equipment
- Management of bed-bound children
- Complex seating and positioning assessments
- Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy
- CORU registration
- Senior-level paediatric physiotherapy experience
- Strong postural management experience
- Experience prescribing sleep systems and specialised equipment
- Confidence managing complex physical presentations
- Experience within Children’s Disability Network Teams or similar complex disability services desirable
