```Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Periodontist to join our family dental practice 1 day per week to start.
As a Periodontist, you will specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gum diseases and other conditions affecting the supporting structures of the teeth. You will work closely with our team to provide exceptional dental care to our patients.
Duties:
- Perform comprehensive periodontal examinations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat gum diseases, including gingivitis and periodontitis
- Administer non-surgical periodontal treatments, such as scaling and root planing
- Perform surgical procedures, including gum grafts, crown lengthening, and dental implant placement if possible
- Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to develop treatment plans for patients
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive measures
- Monitor the progress of patients undergoing periodontal treatment
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems (e.g.,paradigm)
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in periodontal diagnosis and treatment
- Proficiency in performing periodontal surgical procedures
- Familiarity with dental office protocols and workflows
- Experience working with dental software systems (
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to periodontology
