The Veterinary Doctor (Livestock & Poultry) is responsible for overseeing herd and flock health management across farm operations in the UAE. This role ensures compliance with UAE veterinary regulations, implements preventive healthcare programs, monitors productivity and mortality trends, and provides technical leadership to farm staff. The position requires full-time, on-site presence and strong experience in livestock and poultry management within a structured, compliance-driven farm environment.
Key Responsibilities
-Herd & Flock Health Management
- Oversee overall herd and flock health across livestock and poultry units.
- Develop and implement vaccination and preventive healthcare programs.
- Conduct regular health assessments and disease surveillance.
-Disease Diagnosis & Treatment
- Diagnose, treat, and manage livestock and poultry diseases.
- Develop treatment protocols and ensure proper medication administration.
- Monitor disease outbreaks and implement corrective actions.
-Productivity & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor productivity, feed efficiency, and mortality trends.
- Analyze farm data to improve herd and flock performance.
- Recommend operational improvements to enhance production outcomes.
-Biosecurity & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure strict biosecurity measures are implemented and maintained.
- Maintain compliance with MOCCAE and UAE veterinary regulations.
- Prepare and maintain regulatory documentation and reporting.
-Farm Operations Support
- Provide technical guidance and training to farm staff.
- Support farm management in improving operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with management to maintain high animal welfare standards.
Requirements
- Valid MOCCAE Veterinary License – UAE (Mandatory).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in livestock and poultry practice.
- Strong knowledge of herd health management and poultry production systems.
- Experience in farm operations and biosecurity implementation preferred.
- Solid understanding of UAE veterinary regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
- Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to monitor productivity, mortality trends, and disease patterns.
- Willingness to reside on-site (Farm Accommodation Provided).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED15,000.00 per month
