About the Role
Workplace Medical Corp. is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Nurse (RN) or (RPN) to support employee health and safety at an industrial site in Cobourg. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with strong clinical assessment skills, a passion for workplace health, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite occupational health nursing services including assessments, first aid, and medical surveillance.
- Support workplace injury management, early intervention, and return-to-work coordination.
- Conduct audiometric testing, respiratory fit testing, and other occupational health procedures (training provided if required).
- Participate in health promotion initiatives and wellness programming.
- Maintain confidential, accurate, and timely health records.
- Collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety, HR, supervisors, and Workplace Medical Corp. clinical leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Experience in occupational health, emergency/acute care, or industrial settings is an asset.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently onsite.
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN(C)) is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work 24 hours/week onsite.
