To realize this vision, we are seeking a young, energetic, yet highly experienced and competent academic leader who can drive transformation, build systems, and take the institution to greater heights of excellence and recognition.
Role Overview
The Principal will act as the academic and administrative head of the institution, responsible for leading all aspects of academic excellence, regulatory compliance, clinical training, research development, and institutional growth, in alignment with RGUHS norms and future accreditation goals.
This is a high-impact leadership role suited for individuals who are passionate about building institutions, not just managing them.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Vision
- Drive the 5-year strategic vision of transforming HIPT into a state-of-the-art institute
- Build a culture of excellence, discipline, innovation, and accountability
- Position the institution for rankings, recognition, and academic distinction
Academic & Regulatory Excellence
- Ensure strict compliance with RGUHS, State Government, and statutory bodies
- Oversee curriculum delivery, academic planning, and student performance
- Lead preparations for NAAC accreditation and other quality benchmarks
Institution Building
- Recruit, mentor, and develop high-quality faculty teams
- Strengthen clinical training, hospital tie-ups, and practical exposure
- Develop centres of excellence, specialization areas, and advanced programs
Research & Innovation
- Promote research culture, publications, conferences, and grants
- Encourage faculty and student research output and innovation initiatives
Operations & Growth
- Ensure smooth functioning of academic, administrative, and student-related activities
- Work closely with management on admissions strategy, branding, and expansion
- Maintain high standards in documentation, audits, inspections, and reporting
Eligibility Criteria (As per RGUHS Norms)
- Qualification:
- Master’s Degree (MPT) in Physiotherapy from a recognized university
- Ph.D. in Physiotherapy or relevant field (Preferred / as per latest norms)
- Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of teaching experience
- Minimum 5 years as Professor
- Experience in Principal / Vice Principal / HoD role preferred
- Additional Requirements:
- Strong expertise in RGUHS regulations and compliance
- Experience in NAAC/NBA accreditation processes
- Proven record of research publications and academic leadership
