About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Aqua Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in Delhi. In this highly specialized clinical role, you will utilize the physical properties of water to assist patients in improving mobility, strength, and overall physical function. You will work with a diverse patient population—including those with orthopedic, neurological, and pediatric conditions—delivering customized hydrotherapy treatment plans in a state-of-the-art temperature-controlled pool environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine the suitability and specific goals for aquatic therapy.
- Design, implement, and lead one-on-one or small group hydrotherapy sessions utilizing established aquatic techniques (e.g., Halliwick, Watsu, Bad Ragaz Ring Method).
- Ensure absolute patient safety in and around the pool, adhering strictly to water safety protocols, emergency procedures, and hygiene standards.
- Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting aquatic treatment plans as clinical milestones are reached.
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely clinical documentation of all hydrotherapy sessions and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate seamlessly with the broader multidisciplinary team (Physiotherapists, Orthopedists, Neurologists) to integrate aqua therapy into the patient’s overall rehabilitation journey.
The Ideal Candidate (Must-Haves):
- Certification: A valid and recognized Aqua Therapy Certification is strictly mandatory (e.g., ATRI, or specialized techniques like Watsu/Halliwick). Candidates without formalized aquatic certification will not be considered.
- Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) or Occupational Therapy (BOT) is highly preferred as a foundational clinical qualification.
- Experience: 3 to 4 years of hands-on clinical experience, with a significant portion dedicated specifically to aquatic rehabilitation.
- Core Skills: Strong swimming ability, high physical stamina for prolonged pool sessions, and active CPR/First Aid certification.
- Language: Fluency in English and Hindi to effectively communicate instructions and build trust with patients in the water.
