Job Overview
Health Within Reach Foundation is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Doctor to join our Women's Cancer Screening Van team. This initiative focuses on providing accessible, on-the-spot breast and cervical cancer screenings to women in underserved communities. You will work closely with our medical and technical team, utilizing a state-of-the-art digital mammography unit on wheels, to help detect cancer early and improve health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct primary clinical assessments, including history taking and physical exams, for patients undergoing cancer screening.
- Arranging screening camps at various localities.
- Coordinating Outreach campaign to ensure better response
• Mammography results alongside the radiology team and facilitate further investigation as required.
• Educate patients on breast and cervical health, including risk factors, prevention, and early detection strategies.
• Work with nurses and technicians to ensure accurate and efficient screenings.
• Provide counseling and guidance to patients who require follow-up care.
• Maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in data documentation.
• Promote awareness and engagement in the local communities served by the van.
• Collaborate with local healthcare facilities to ensure a continuum of care for referred patients.
Requirements
• Medical degree (MBBS/BAMS/BHMS) from a recognized medical institution
Qualification in Public Health will be added advantage.
• Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or Maharashtra Medical Council.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably in women's health, cancer screening, or community healthcare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel within Pune and surrounding areas.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous work in mobile health units or community outreach programs.
• Proficiency in Marathi, Hindi, and English for effective patient communication.
