Job Description (JD)
A. Sample Collection & Handling
Collect, label, and process patient samples (blood, urine, body fluids)
Ensure proper patient identification and sample traceability
Follow pre-analytical SOPs strictly
B. Laboratory Testing
Perform routine and specialized tests as per SOPs
Operate laboratory equipment and analyzers efficiently
Ensure accuracy and precision in test results
C. Quality Control & NABL Compliance
Perform Internal Quality Control (IQC) and document results
Participate in External Quality Assurance Scheme (EQAS)
Maintain records as per NABL requirements
Adhere to document control procedures and SOPs
D. Equipment Handling
Operate, clean, and maintain lab equipment
Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance schedules are followed
Report equipment malfunction immediately
E. Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain test records, logs, and reports
Ensure proper data entry in LIS (Laboratory Information System)
Follow NABL documentation and retention policies
F. Safety & Infection Control
Follow biosafety guidelines and universal precautions
Use PPE appropriately
Handle biomedical waste as per regulations
G. Reporting & Communication
Report critical values immediately to the concerned authority
Coordinate with clinicians and other departments
Maintain confidentiality of patient information
Key Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures
Familiarity with ISO 15189 / NABL standards
Attention to detail and accuracy
Basic computer knowledge (LIS operation)
Good communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
MLT / DMLT/PGDMLT
Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on laboratory experience, with a proven track record of working independently in NABL Laboratory.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
