An established retail pharmacy group in Bermuda is seeking a qualified and motivated Pharmacist to join its professional team. This role supports operations across a network of seven high-volume community pharmacies that prioritize patient-focused care, medication safety, and exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical services while maintaining compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional standards, ensuring thorough clinical verification of prescriptions for accuracy, therapeutic appropriateness, potential drug interactions, contraindications, and prescribing irregularities.
- Provide clear, evidence-based counseling to patients and customers regarding prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosage, administration, side effects, and lifestyle considerations to support optimal health outcomes.
- Deliver a high standard of patient-centered care by building strong relationships with customers, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
- Maintain and oversee dispensary inventory, including stock ordering, rotation, expiry monitoring, and adherence to robust inventory control procedures to ensure continuous product availability and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy legislation, professional standards, and best practice guidelines.
- Participate in continuing professional development activities and maintain professional licensure and competency as required by the relevant Pharmacy Council and organizational standards.
- Support operational excellence by contributing to workflow optimization, quality assurance initiatives, and safe dispensing practices.
- Undertake additional duties and professional responsibilities appropriate to the role, as assigned by the Chief Pharmacist.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent) and eligibility for registration with the relevant Pharmacy Council.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities, with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer and patient service.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all organizational levels and contribute positively within a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional, detail-oriented approach to practice.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

If you require a notice period to your current employer, we always advise that we await the permit approval first, and then you resign from your current employer)
