Interim Nurse Manager
Location: Small Rural Hospital (Northwestern or Northeastern Ontario)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Interim Nurse Manager to provide short-term leadership coverage during a temporary leave. The ideal candidate will step into a rural clinical environment with minimal onboarding to provide stability, continuity, and operational oversight for frontline teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Provide day-to-day leadership for assigned nursing units.
- Workforce Planning: Support staffing coordination, scheduling oversight, and workforce planning.
- Clinical Standards: Maintain clinical standards and act as a liaison between frontline staff and senior leadership.
- Compliance & Quality: Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to nursing staff during this leadership transition.
Qualifications
- Registration: Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Nurse Manager or Clinical Leader is required.
- Rural Expertise: Demonstrated experience working in small rural hospital settings; knowledge of rural staffing models and workflows is essential.
- Adaptability: Ability to transition quickly into an interim role with minimal orientation.
- Preferred: Leadership experience specifically in Northwestern or Northeastern Ontario and experience with regional referral pathways.
Assignment Details
This is a short-term coverage role. Candidates must be available for immediate start and able to integrate rapidly into an established team.
