Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with long-term care regulations and best practices.
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including assessments of strength, mobility, balance, and functional abilities.
- Administer therapeutic interventions to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent further disability.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, administration, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Maintain high clinical standards and ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility guidelines.
- Support the Physical Therapy department as needed, including collaboration on staffing and patient scheduling.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to new or less experienced team members when applicable.
- Accurately document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution (Master’s or Doctorate preferred).
- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility, hospital, or related healthcare setting required.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
