Northern Health has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Pharmacist to join our dedicated Pharmacy Department and make a meaningful impact on patient care across Northern British Columbia.
About the Role
In alignment with Northern Health’s vision and values, you will provide comprehensive pharmacy services to patients while working as a key member of an interprofessional healthcare team. In this role, you will:
- Assess patients and recommend individualized drug therapy plans
- Act as a primary drug information resource, providing expert advice and education to healthcare professionals
- Monitor drug prescribing, distribution, and therapy to ensure safe, effective, rational, legal, and cost-effective medication use
- Support optimal patient outcomes through clinical excellence
- Maintain accurate workload records and statistics
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy
- Current licensure with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
- Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program,
- OR a combination of at least one year of hospital experience and advanced education courses
- Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP) is encouraged
