We are looking for a Pharmacist to become part of our team in a fulfilling non-retail pharmacy environment based in Edmonton.
📅 Start Date: Immediate
📅 Duration: Through April, with strong potential for extension
This opportunity is ideal for pharmacy professionals who value a structured, professional atmosphere distinct from retail pharmacy. The role focuses on verifying specialty prescriptions, making it a great fit for candidates with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
🕒 Schedule
Monday to Friday
8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
30-minute unpaid lunch break
✅ No evening shifts
✅ No weekend work
Position Overview
The primary responsibility is reviewing specialty medication orders and supporting the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are processed correctly and efficiently. The pharmacy operates in a well-organized, collaborative setting with clear guidelines to assist team members.
Prior experience with specific pharmacy software is not required, as the emphasis is on prescription verification and workflow support. Necessary training and guidance will be provided.
Preferred Candidate Qualities
We are seeking professionals who exhibit:
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience
- Ability to verify approximately 20–25 prescriptions per hour
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Capacity to work effectively within a team
- Reliable work ethic and clear communication skills
