To provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment, intervention, and management for infants, children, and adolescents with developmental, neurological, physical, and complex needs, working as part of an interdisciplinary paediatric team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and treat children with a range of physical, developmental, and neurological conditions.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment programmes and goal-based interventions.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, social workers, and medical staff.
- Support family-centred practice and provide education/advice to parents, carers, schools, and other professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in line with public health and CORU standards.
- Participate in service planning, clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise and support staff grade physiotherapists, assistants, and students where required.
- Contribute to waiting list management and service development initiatives.
Essential Requirements
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Physiotherapy recognised by CORU.
- Registration with CORU.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification clinical experience, including relevant paediatric experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of paediatric physiotherapy practice, child development, and family-centred care.
- Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
- Full clean driving licence and access to own transport
