Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Lab Technician to support laboratory operations by conducting tests, maintaining equipment, recording results, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to work efficiently in a laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples, specimens, and testing materials for analysis
- Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures according to established protocols
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
- Record, analyze, and report test results accurately
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and follow safety guidelines at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and biological materials
- Assist senior scientists, researchers, or medical staff with experiments and investigations
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
- Follow quality assurance and regulatory compliance standards
Required Qualifications
- Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or certification in Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Lab Technician or in a similar laboratory role preferred
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency and record-keeping abilities
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)
- Experience handling laboratory chemicals and specimens
- Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and regulatory standards
