Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Long Term Care team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, experience in various patient care settings, and proficiency with electronic health records systems such as Momentum and Catalyst. The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in patient advocacy, treatment planning, and ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care for all the residents who call Orchard View home.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
- Administer medications accurately following medical orders and monitor patient responses.
- Utilize electronic health records systems such as Momentum and Catalyst for documentation and medication administration.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures and assist with laboratory testing as needed.
- Manage pain effectively through appropriate medication administration and non-pharmacologic strategies.
- Coordinate case management activities to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia.
- Educate patients and families on health management, including updates on changes to medical status.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
- Educate and provide palliative care for residents at end of life.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with New Brunswick Nursing Association.
- Proven experience in hospital settings or acute care environments preferred; experience with medical terminology essential.
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Momentum and Catalyst is highly desirable.
- Experience in pain management, case management, nursing home care, senior care, dementia care, or assisted living is advantageous.
- Strong clinical skills including medication administration, laboratory procedures like phlebotomy, and physical assessments.
- Excellent communication skills, professionalism
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

Pay: $51.98-$63.25 per hour
