Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Calgary, AB. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, offering professional advice on prescriptions, and providing comprehensive patient counseling. Additional responsibilities include maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, collaborating with healthcare providers, and promoting wellness initiatives to enhance customers' health outcomes. The role involves creating a positive customer experience through professional, respectful interactions and personalized service.
Qualifications
- Pharmaceutical expertise, including knowledge of drug therapies, prescription accuracy, and proper medication management practices
- Commitment to patient care, including communication and counseling skills to educate and advise patients
- Familiarity with pharmacy operations, such as inventory control, regulatory compliance, and workflow management
- Ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals and contribute to team-oriented care
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Current pharmacist licensure in Alberta and adherence to provincial and federal pharmacy regulations
- A strong customer-focused approach with the ability to build positive experiences
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software and other technology tools
- Previous community or retail pharmacy experience is an asset
