ABOUT FORD'S FAMILY PHARMACY
Ford's has been independently serving Moncton since 1997. Founded and led by Peter Ford, a pharmacist with over 40 years of expertise in pharmaceutical compounding for human and veterinary use, the practice is built on a Functional Medicine philosophy: find the root cause, build the protocol, know your patient.
We collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, veterinarians, and dentists across Canada to deliver individualized care that chains can't replicate. Our specializations include:
- Non-sterile compounding — human and veterinary
- Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
- Functional medicine consultations
- Collaborative prescriber care, locally and coast to coast
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT
Most pharmacists spend years waiting to practice at the level they were trained for. At Ford's, that starts on day one.
- High compounding exposure from the start, under direct mentorship from Peter Ford
- An active, growing hormone therapy practice with real clinical complexity
- One-on-one, relationship-based consultation model where you know your patients by name
- Direct collaboration with prescribers where your clinical input matters and is sought out
- Full autonomy to exercise clinical judgment without a head office second-guessing you
- Opportunity to help shape and grow clinical service offerings
- Long-term leadership or equity partnership potential for the right candidate
A NOTE FOR NEW GRADUATES
If you are early in your career and looking for the fastest path to genuine clinical depth — this is it. You won't be rotating through dispensary queues or following a corporate onboarding checklist. You'll be learning compounding directly from an originator of compounding in Canada, working complex hormone and functional medicine cases, and building the kind of practice knowledge that takes most pharmacists a decade to develop elsewhere. We invest in people who bring curiosity and initiative. The mentorship here is real.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patient-centered clinical care and comprehensive medication management
- Prescription verification, therapeutic assessment, and drug interaction review
- Non-sterile compounding operations; you'll develop real proficiency here
- In-depth medication reviews and one-on-one consultations
- Immunizations and preventive health screenings (BP, cholesterol, diabetes)
- Mentorship of pharmacy technicians, assistants and support staff
- Compliance with professional standards, SOPs, and applicable legislation
- Contribution to workflow optimization and new service development
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists, or eligible for registration

- Excellent communication so that you build trust naturally and patients notice
- Ability to work independently and within a tight-knit, collaborative team
Preferred (not required):
- Experience or coursework in non-sterile compounding
- Interest in hormone therapy, functional medicine, or integrative care
- Leadership aspirations or desire for expanded clinical scope
- French language an asset
