Job Summary
The Lab Technician is responsible for collecting, testing, analyzing, and reporting laboratory samples accurately and efficiently. The role includes maintaining laboratory equipment, following quality and safety standards, and supporting doctors in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood, urine, and other patient samples.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and investigations.
- Prepare and label specimens correctly.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Record and maintain accurate test reports and patient data.
- Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of laboratory areas.
- Follow infection control and biomedical waste management protocols.
- Assist doctors and senior laboratory staff in special investigations.
- Monitor stock of laboratory consumables and reagents.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Required Qualification
- Diploma / B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / BMLT).
- Relevant experience in hospital or diagnostic laboratory preferred.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts may be required.
- Exposure to laboratory chemicals and biological samples.
Pay: ₹8,256.43 - ₹18,738.82 per month
