We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Educator to provide training, mentorship, and educational support to nursing staff, residents, and families. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a passion for fostering professional growth while promoting high-quality, evidence-based care in diverse healthcare settings.
Duties
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver clinical education and training programs.
- Facilitate orientation programs for all new staff.
- Assess learning needs and create educational plans to address identified gaps.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and support to nursing and interdisciplinary teams.
- Develop educational materials, policies, procedures, and competency assessments.
- Ensure training aligns with current best practices, regulatory standards, and organizational objectives.
- Evaluate educational outcomes and recommend improvements.
- Support quality improvement, patient safety, and accreditation initiatives.
- Collaborate with healthcare leaders and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Experience
- Current registration and good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Minimum 3-5 years of recent Long Term Care experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in staff education, clinical instruction, Point Click Care, and inter-RAI LTCF.
- Strong knowledge of IP & C.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel within British Columbia as required.
Pay: $50.00-$58.00 per hour
