Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients across different age groups. The role involves working closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to improve communication abilities and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders in children and/or adults.
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on patient evaluation and clinical findings.
- Provide therapy for conditions such as speech delays, articulation disorders, stammering, aphasia, dysphagia, and developmental language disorders.
- Conduct regular patient progress assessments and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Educate and counsel patients and families regarding therapy goals, home programs, and communication strategies.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, assessment reports, and progress notes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals for integrated care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment planning.
- Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, ethical standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Support awareness and early identification of speech and language disorders in the community or clinical setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Therapy / Speech-Language Pathology
- DHA Licensed or DHA Eligibility Letter (preferred/mandatory as per requirement)
- Proven experience in speech therapy (pediatric and/or adult cases preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and detail-oriented approach
