Job Summary
GloriDerm Aesthetic Clinic is seeking a skilled and responsible Lab Technician to perform laboratory investigations, maintain laboratory equipment, ensure accurate reporting, and support doctors in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesLaboratory Operations
- Collect blood and other patient samples safely and professionally
- Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures
- Prepare and label specimens accurately
- Ensure timely processing and reporting of test results
Equipment & Maintenance
- Operate laboratory instruments and equipment properly
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of laboratory area
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment
- Report equipment malfunction or repair requirements
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain laboratory records and patient reports accurately
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information
- Prepare daily test reports and documentation
- Coordinate with doctors and clinic staff regarding laboratory findings
Infection Control & Safety
- Follow laboratory safety and infection control protocols
- Dispose biomedical waste according to regulations
- Use PPE and maintain hygiene standards at all times
- Ensure safe handling of laboratory chemicals and samples
Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor stock of laboratory reagents and consumables
- Maintain inventory records and expiry monitoring
- Coordinate procurement requirements with management
Qualification Requirements
- DMLT / Bsc MLT/Msc MLT or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing
- Basic computer knowledge preferred
Experience
- 1–3 years experience preferred
- Experience in clinic, hospital, or diagnostic laboratory is an advantage
