Role Description This full-time, on-site Medical Doctor role is based at Prachin Global Hospitals in Hyderabad. The Medical Doctor will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, take medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order appropriate diagnostic tests. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, prescribing treatments and medications, and monitoring patient progress. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, participating in clinical discussions and case reviews, and coordinating care plans with nursing, allied health, and support staff. The Medical Doctor will also document clinical encounters accurately in medical records, provide patient and family education, adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory standards, and participate in quality improvement and clinical audit activities.
Qualifications
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution; valid medical license/registration to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Completed internship and, preferably, residency or specialist training in a relevant field (e.g., Internal Medicine, General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or other applicable specialties).
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and evidence-based treatment planning skills, including the ability to manage both acute and chronic conditions.
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed, accurate, and timely medical records, including electronic health records, discharge summaries, and clinical documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on empathy, clarity, and cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to work in a high-paced hospital environment, manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and respond appropriately in emergency and critical situations.
- Commitment to ethical medical practice, patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Demonstrated interest in continued professional development, including attending clinical meetings, trainings, and conferences, and staying updated with medical advancements.
- Experience in a tertiary-care or multi-specialty hospital setting is an advantage; prior experience in Hyderabad or similar healthcare environments is beneficial.
