Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and professional Home Visit Doctor to join our healthcare/homecare team. The doctor will be responsible for providing medical consultations to patients through home visits, phone calls, online chats, and office-based client support.
This role is suitable for a doctor who is comfortable interacting with patients and families, explaining healthcare services, answering medical and service-related questions, supporting appointment bookings, and recommending appropriate healthcare/homecare services based on patient needs.
The role includes both clinical responsibilities and client-facing responsibilities within the office.
Key Responsibilities - Home Visit & Doctor-on-Call Services
- Visit patients at their homes to provide medical consultations and basic clinical assessments.
- Assess patient symptoms, medical history, current condition, and care needs.
- Provide appropriate medical advice, treatment recommendations, and referrals when required.
- Prescribe medications when clinically appropriate and within licensing regulations.
- Identify cases requiring urgent medical attention and advise patients or families accordingly.
- Coordinate with nurses, caregivers, physiotherapists, laboratories, pharmacies, and other healthcare professionals when needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all home visit consultations.
- Ensure all home visit services are delivered professionally, safely, and in line with healthcare standards.
- Meet or speak with clients and families to understand their healthcare or homecare requirements.
- Explain the company’s medical, nursing, caregiving, physiotherapy, diagnostic, and homecare services clearly and professionally.
- Answer client questions regarding symptoms, available services, service process, appointment booking, and follow-up care.
- Guide clients toward the most suitable healthcare services based on their needs.
- Support the team in converting enquiries into confirmed appointments or service bookings.
- Recommend additional services where medically appropriate, such as nursing care, lab tests, physiotherapy, doctor follow-ups, elderly care, or long-term homecare packages.
- Build trust with patients and families through professional, empathetic, and ethical communication.
- Provide medical consultations through phone calls, video calls, WhatsApp, or online chat when required.
- Respond to patient enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide general medical guidance, follow-up advice, and service recommendations within approved clinical guidelines.
- Identify cases that require in-person consultation, home visit, emergency care, or specialist referral.
- Document all teleconsultation and chat-based interactions accurately.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained during all remote consultations.
- Assist patients and families with booking doctor consultations, home visits, lab tests, nursing services, and other healthcare appointments.
- Coordinate with the appointment team, operations team, nurses, drivers, and other departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Confirm patient details, location, preferred timing, and required service before appointments.
- Support follow-up appointments and ongoing patient care coordination.
- Inform relevant departments about special patient needs, urgent cases, or clinical concerns.
- Communicate with patients and families in a clear, respectful, and compassionate manner.
- Handle patient concerns, service questions, and complaints professionally.
- Educate patients and families about care plans, treatment instructions, homecare options, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to support patient satisfaction and service retention.
- Escalate complex medical, operational, or complaint-related issues to the appropriate department or management.
- Maintain accurate records of consultations, patient assessments, prescriptions, follow-ups, and service recommendations.
- Ensure all patient information is handled with strict confidentiality.
- Follow company policies, healthcare regulations, medical ethics, and patient privacy standards.
- Comply with local healthcare authority requirements and clinical documentation standards.
- Participate in internal meetings, training sessions, audits, and quality improvement activities when required.
