Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Allied Health Professionals role based in Salem. The role involves delivering high-quality patient-centered care within the relevant allied health discipline (such as physiotherapy, medical laboratory technology, radiology, occupational therapy, or other allied health specialties) under established clinical protocols and institutional guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and implementing appropriate interventions, documenting clinical findings, and collaborating with medical, nursing, and other healthcare team members to support integrated care. The position may also include participation in teaching, clinical demonstrations, and mentoring of students, as well as involvement in quality improvement, audits, and departmental meetings. Allied Health Professionals are expected to adhere to ethical standards, maintain accurate records, ensure patient safety, and support institutional initiatives in research and community outreach as required.
Qualifications
- Relevant diploma, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in an Allied Health Sciences discipline (e.g., Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Radiology & Imaging Technology, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, or related field) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional council or regulatory body, as applicable.
- Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the respective allied health specialty.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact respectfully with patients, caregivers, colleagues, and students from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and participation in training, workshops, or professional development activities.
- Basic proficiency in using electronic medical records, clinical documentation systems, and standard office software.
- Willingness to participate in teaching, clinical demonstrations, and academic support activities within the University setting.
