Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Doctor Neurosurgeon role based at Amcare Super Speciality Hospital in the Chandigarh region (VIP Road, Zirakpur, Mohali). The neurosurgeon will provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with neurosurgical and spine-related conditions, including trauma, degenerative diseases, tumors, and vascular disorders. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing elective and emergency neurosurgical and spine surgeries, managing pre- and post-operative care, and coordinating with neurology, critical care, radiology, and other specialties to develop integrated treatment plans. The role involves participation in ICU rounds, reviewing imaging and diagnostics, supervising junior medical staff, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards. The neurosurgeon will also contribute to case documentation, quality improvement activities, and may support clinical education and training initiatives within the hospital.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Neurosurgery, including diagnosis and surgical management of cranial and spinal pathologies.
- Proficiency in Spine and Spine Surgery, with experience in both elective and emergency spine procedures.
- Solid foundation in Neurology and Medicine relevant to neurocritical care and perioperative patient management.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery (MCh/DNB or equivalent), with valid medical registration.
- Experience working in a tertiary care or super speciality hospital, preferably with exposure to ICU and trauma services.
- Ability to interpret advanced neuroimaging and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
- Excellent communication skills, professional conduct, and willingness to participate in on-call and emergency coverage.
