The Anaesthesia Technician will check anaesthesia machines, oxygen supply, suction, airway equipment, monitors, emergency drugs and consumables before procedures. The role includes preparing equipment according to the case list, assisting with patient positioning and monitoring set-up, supporting documentation of equipment checks, maintaining sterile and clean work areas, helping transfer patients safely to recovery and promptly reporting any equipment issue or patient concern to the anaesthesiologist. The technician must follow hospital protocols for infection control, biomedical-waste segregation, medication handling support and emergency preparedness while staying within professional scope.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be calm, alert and dependable during surgical procedures. They should understand anaesthesia workflow, equipment safety, airway support preparation, emergency readiness and the importance of clear communication inside the operation theatre. Experience in multispeciality OT settings, critical-care transfers or emergency-surgery support will be preferred.
