Role Description The Orthodontist will provide comprehensive orthodontic assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients seeking cosmetic and corrective dental care. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing clinical examinations, recommending and managing treatments such as braces, aligners, and other orthodontic appliances, and monitoring progress through follow-up visits. The role involves close collaboration with other dental specialists to deliver integrated care, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring adherence to clinical and sterilization protocols. The Orthodontist will educate patients on treatment options, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care to support long-term outcomes. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Opal Dentistry in Coimbatore.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Medicine and Dentistry, with the ability to integrate general health considerations into dental treatment planning.
- Specialized expertise in Orthodontics, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of malocclusions and smile design cases.
- Proficiency in Treatment and Dental Care, encompassing preventive, corrective, and cosmetic procedures aligned with clinic standards.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Orthodontics (MDS or equivalent), with valid professional registration and licensing.
- Experience with Invisalign or other clear aligner systems; familiarity with veneers and cosmetic dentistry is highly beneficial.
- Commitment to maintaining sterile clinical environments and following evidence-based protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to counsel patients and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to work full time on-site in Coimbatore and participate in continuous professional development and technology adoption.
