Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessing patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, and supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsibilities include collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, updating and maintaining accurate medical records, and educating patients and families on care plans, treatments, and post-discharge instructions. The role involves adhering to clinical protocols, infection control standards, and safety regulations, while contributing to continuous improvement of nursing practices and patient outcomes. The Registered Nurse will also support new initiatives within Alameda’s growing hospital network and may participate in training and mentoring of junior nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Egypt and successful completion of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred).
- Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs in acute or tertiary care settings.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with patients and colleagues, and provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple patients and tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Commitment to adherence to clinical guidelines, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by hospital operations.
- Experience in tertiary care or specialized units (e.g., ICU, ER, surgical, rehabilitation) is an advantage.
- Basic proficiency in electronic medical record systems and comfort with learning new healthcare technologies.
- Continuous professional development mindset, including participation in training, workshops, and quality improvement initiatives.
