Reem Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to support our physiotherapy team in delivering high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Assist physiotherapists in preparing patients for treatment sessions.
- Support patients during prescribed therapy exercises and rehabilitation activities under the supervision of licensed physiotherapists.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas, equipment, and therapy supplies.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, positioning, and transportation as required.
- Monitor patient comfort and report observations or concerns to the physiotherapy team.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation as instructed.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
- Provide excellent patient service and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy, Physical Therapy, Sports Rehabilitation, or a related healthcare field.
- Previous experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant, Rehabilitation Assistant, or in a similar healthcare support role is required.
- Good understanding of physiotherapy and rehabilitation practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Physically capable of assisting patients with mobility and rehabilitation activities.
- Basic computer skills and documentation abilities.
- No DOH/MOH/DHA license is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a hospital, rehabilitation center, or outpatient physiotherapy clinic.
- Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) is an advantage.
- Multilingual communication skills are a plus.
