JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Areas Of Responsibility
- Assess, stabilize, and manage critically ill patients with multi-organ dysfunction.
- Perform bedside procedures such as intubation, central venous catheter placement, and arterial line insertion.
- Manage mechanical ventilation and other advanced life support equipment.
- Attend daily multidisciplinary ICU rounds to ensure a cohesive care plan
- Lead Code Blue Team and ensure mock-drills are conducted on regular basis
- Participate in post-event analysis of Code blue team mock drills
- Train and mentor ICU staff, including residents and nurses, on critical care protocols
- Management of nephrology-related ICU emergencies, including dialysis-related hypotension and metabolic complications.
- Work closely with the nephrology and surgical team for individualized care plans for ICU patients
