Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, focusing on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of various health conditions. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses across diverse patient populations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication administration and pain management strategies
- Provide pediatric care, including immunizations and developmental assessments
- Coordinate with specialists for referrals and comprehensive patient management
- Utilize electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner for documentation and data collection
- Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications
- Perform procedures related to family medicine practice, including minor procedures in outpatient settings
- Participate in home care visits when necessary to support patient recovery and ongoing management
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Qualifications
- Eligible for licensure with the college of Physicians n Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
- Certified in Family Medicine(CFPC) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care protocols
- New graduates and experienced physicians are welcome
- International Medical Graduates (IMGs) with eligible to, practice in Alberta are encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams .
